Remit
The scope of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works is defined by the Government regulation.
The Ministry is in charge of:
- The general transport policy, including but not limited to mobility planning, public transport services, road traffic management, railways, road transport and inland navigation, and
- the general public works policy, including government buildings and roads.
Within the framework of its responsibilities, it is the supervisory ministry for the following administrations and directorate:

War in Iran: Luxembourg Government reviewing all options to organise repatriation flights
In the context of the crisis in the Middle East, the Government is currently exploring all available options to repatriate the approximately 600 Luxembourg travellers currently stranded in the region.

New National Regulatory Framework for Drone Use
A new law and a new regulation came into effect at the end of 2025. This national regulatory framework introduces, among other things, criminal penalties for non-compliance with the rules, as well as fees.
