DG I – General directorate of European and Legal Affairs, Public Procurement and Logistics

The General directorate of European and Legal Affairs, Public Procurement and Logistics consists of three departments: 

• Department of Legal Affairs (DG I.1)
• Department of Road Transport and Automotive Engineering (DG I.3)
• Department of Inland Navigation and Logistics (DG I.4)

Activities relating to public tenders, the Tender Committee, the Portal for public tenders and Concessions (DG I.2) also fall within the remit of DG I.

The Service provider of Inland Navigation, whose activities are centered on the Moselle and notably include the operational management of the two lock dams, falls under to the Ministry.

The ministry’s representative within the Permanent Representation to the European Union (RPUE) also falls under the remit of DG I.
